Bring your outgoing personality and compassion for supporting older adults!
ComForCare NYC is a companion care agency that specializes in matching our elderly clients with highly intellectual and unique people within New York City in helping them with their day-to-day and much more! We hire unique individuals from all areas of study and working professionals of all kinds to become companions and provide social engagement and caregiving. You would differ from other caregivers because being a companion means you will focus on your experiences with our clients along with helping them with their day-to-day and having conversation. We encourage you to share your passions and skills with someone who can really appreciate you!
Our clients do not require support with ADLs or “hands-on personal care”. They are looking for someone with a bright smile and different life experiences who are interested in bridging a generational gap and enjoying each others company. Our job openings are first and foremost about creating a personal connection with your client, not just providing care. Many of our positions will involve experience in supporting clients with early to moderate-stage dementia so bring your personal or professional experience.
There is no assisting with bathing, feeding, toileting or other "hands on" care. No certificates are required. You do not need to be a certified aid. Our clients are independent. All you need is the time and the love to help others.
