Scheduler/Administrative Assistant

The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel , office equipment, and scheduling software to include outlook calendar. If you have previous experience in the scheduling, administrative fields and familiarity within our industry, we encourage you to apply. Ultimately, a successful candidate should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day of all schedules between caregivers and clients, and stay on top of filing necessary documents in software.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry & Documentation
  • Scheduling of caregivers and RNs - makes all arrangements, including providing directions to care recipient's homes/facilities
  • Fills all openings/unfilled shifts and provides backup coverage
  • Home care administrative paperwork completion
  • Monitors caregivers and RNs in the field
  • Customer service
  • Maintains timesheets, employee files, and various reports
  • Assumes full responsibility of the company on-call pager on a rotated schedule
  • Follow-up on home care referrals
Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Scheduler
  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: Working in a Home Health Care Agency, basic knowledge is a requirement
  • Clear and effective communication: Essential for coordinating with various departments, personnel, and clients
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Exhibits the utmost flexibility with other duties as assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, though candidates with an associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration are preferred
