POSITION SUMMARY
This role involves assessing and addressing clients' foot care needs, providing expert treatment, and offering valuable education for ongoing self-care. The Foot Care Specialist collaborates with other healthcare professionals, maintains meticulous records, and upholds the highest standards of hygiene and infection control.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and evaluate the foot care needs of clients: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' feet to identify specific care requirements.
  2. Provide routine foot care services: Perform toenail trimming, callus removal, and corn treatment with precision and care.
  3. Address foot-related issues: Identify and treat conditions such as fungal infections, ingrown toenails, and provide specialized diabetic foot care.
  4. Patient education: Educate clients on proper foot care techniques and develop personalized self-care plans to enhance their foot health.
  5. Maintain records: Accurately document client information and care provided, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans and ensure seamless coordination of care.
  7. Stay informed: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, research, and best practices in foot care to provide the highest quality service.
  8. Hygiene and infection control: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control in all foot care procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Foot Care Specialist certification or relevant state licensure.
  2. Previous experience as a Foot Care Specialist is preferred.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  5. In-depth knowledge of foot anatomy and common foot conditions.
  6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  7. Exceptional attention to detail.
  8. Professional demeanor and reliability.
