Job Title: Urgent Hire: Caregiver
Location: Niles, MI
Job Summary:
We are urgently hiring a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide immediate in-home care for clients in the Niles area. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, offer companionship, and ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of clients. This role is critical for supporting clients who may have limited mobility, chronic conditions, or need recovery assistance. We are looking for someone who can start immediately and who is committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.

Mobility Assistance: Help clients move safely from bed to chair, wheelchair, or commode, including the use of mobility aids or lifts when necessary.

Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversation, activities, and companionship to reduce isolation.

Meal Preparation & Feeding: Prepare nutritious meals in line with the client’s dietary restrictions and assist with feeding as needed.

Medication Reminders: Ensure that clients take their prescribed medications on time, according to their care plan.

Housekeeping & Environment: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, laundry, dusting, and keeping the client’s living space clean and organized.

Health Monitoring: Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition to family members or healthcare professionals.

Transportation: Provide safe transportation for clients to appointments, errands, or social activities.

Emergency Response: Act promptly and effectively in case of medical emergencies, following established protocols and contacting the appropriate professionals or family members.
Requirements:

Experience: Previous caregiving, Home Health Aide, or CNA experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual.

Empathy & Compassion: A genuine desire to care for others, showing patience, kindness, and understanding in all interactions with clients.

Physical Stamina: Ability to assist clients with mobility, including lifting, transferring, and supporting those with limited strength or mobility.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Reliability: Dependability and punctuality are crucial, as clients depend on you for daily support and care.

Driver’s License & Transportation: A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation are required to travel to and from clients' homes.

Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, to meet urgent client needs.

CPR/First Aid Certification: Preferred but not required. Training can be provided.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and assist clients with limited mobility (up to 150 lbs with assistance).
