Short term assignment for 10 days. 10 am to 1 pm daily for 10 days Nov 13 to 22. current private caregiver going on vacation Nov 14 to 22.
>general location: Valleymede & HWY 7, Richmond Hill
>Medical condition: suffer multiple sclerosis; 200 lbs 6’ 2”, use wheelchairs
>Care needs: transfer from bed to wheelchair using mechanical lift sling, put on harness jacket for the transfer ; assist morning hygiene routine, transfer from wheelchair to shower chair for shower, prepare light breakfast (like make coffee and toast, and boil/fry eggs, simple food)
>Patient also receiving support fom PSW from Ontario Health atHome in the afternoon
>toilet is wheelchair assessable
>For safety reason, prefer male caregiver or strong female caregiver due to his weight, and experience in using mechanical lift and harnesses for transfer
>shift: Nov 13th to 22nd, 10 days, 3 hours per day from 10 am to 1 pm

What we are looking for:
- A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
- Certified PSW or equivalent experience
- Access to reliable transportation.
- experience in hoyer lift operation
What you will be doing:
- Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
- Provide assistance with personal care.
- Assist with mobility, transfers and range of motion exercises.
- Handle meal planning, preparation and feeding.
- Properly manage household needs.
- Provide companionship and respite services for the family.
