Job Overview
ComForCare Home Care is seeking a reliable and highly responsive After Hours Care Coordinator to manage all agency communication outside of regular business hours. This role ensures that clients, caregivers, and prospective clients always reach a trained team member rather than an answering service. The coordinator will be responsible for answering all after‑hours calls, restaffing caregiver call‑offs, handling new client inquiries, and providing support to anyone who contacts the agency when the day office is closed.

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming after‑hours and weekend calls
  • Restaff caregiver call‑offs and schedule changes as needed
  • Take intake calls from prospective clients and gather required information
  • Provide accurate information and support to clients, caregivers, and families
  • Ensure no calls are missed and all inquiries are returned within 15 minutes
  • Document all calls and actions taken
  • Maintain communication with the day office team to ensure continuity of care
  • Represent the agency professionally and knowledgeably at all times
Skills

  • Must live in the DC Metropolitan Area
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly to changing needs
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for remote work
  • Prior experience in home care, healthcare, or scheduling is preferred but not required
  • Dependable, organized, and able to remain calm under pressure

Compensation: $500.00 per week
