Job Summary
Live-In Personal Care Assistant
We are seeking compassionate, reliable Live-In Personal Care Assistants to provide ongoing, in-home support and companionship to clients. In this role, you will assist with personal care, daily living activities, household tasks, and emotional support while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care & Daily Living Support
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Provide safe assistance with transfers (bed, chair, restroom, etc.) and mobility support
Meal Preparation & Nutrition
- Plan and prepare healthy meals based on client preferences and dietary requirements
- Ensure proper food safety and encourage hydration and nutrition
Medication Reminders
- Provide timely medication reminders as directed in the care plan
Household Support
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and general home organization
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
Companionship & Emotional Support
- Provide meaningful companionship and social interaction
- Engage clients in conversation, reading, recreational activities, and hobbies
Transportation & Community Access
- Assist with errands, grocery shopping, medical appointments, and social outings as needed
Safety & Observation
- Monitor the home environment for potential safety or fall risks
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the agency.
Care Plan Compliance
- Follow individualized care plans accurately and consistently
Requirements
- Genuine compassion and commitment to improving the lives of others
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow written care plans
- Reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic
- Ability to live in the client’s home for scheduled live-in assignments
