About the Role:
Join ComForCare Home Health Care in San Diego as a Respite Caregiver, where you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with autism and disabilities. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide compassionate care and support to those in need.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support for individuals with autism and disabilities.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and hygiene.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to enhance quality of life.
- Monitor and document client progress and any changes in behavior.
- Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients.
- Provide respite for primary caregivers, allowing them time to recharge.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve caregiving skills.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields preferred.
- Understanding of autism and disabilities, with a compassionate approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and training.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
