About the Role:
ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our growing team in Orinda, CA. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing essential in-home care and support. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands and transportation
- Follow individualized care plans to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, or in a similar caregiving role preferred
- Genuine compassion, patience, and a client-centered approach to care
- Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- Must pass a background check and meet state caregiver requirements in California
