About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care - Hilton Head is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our growing team in beautiful Hilton Head, SC. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing essential daily care and companionship right in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment
- Assist with meal planning and preparation according to dietary needs
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a PCA, CNA, HHA, or caregiver preferred
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently in a home setting
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
